Olson Kundig’s Brand-New Concrete House in West Hollywood Debuts at $5.75 Million

The internationally acclaimed Seattle-based architecture firm Olson Kundig has completed its final residence at The Houses at 8899 Beverly, a bold new concept in West Hollywood. Following their design of the complex’s landmark residential tower, the firm introduced an exclusive collection of eight LEED-certified homes along a neighboring street, tree-lined Rosewood Avenue. The aptly dubbed Concrete House is the last of the houses to debut, and it’s now available for a speck under $6 million with Daniel Stevenson and Taaseen Qureshi of The Agency.

Spanning 2,962 square feet over two floors, Concrete House is a study in restrained strength and quiet drama. Its monolithic façade—constructed of panel-formed, site-cast concrete and exposed structural steel—creates a powerful first impression. Inside, Olson Kundig’s signature emphasis on openness and fluidity takes hold. Grand sliding glass walls disappear to reveal a private courtyard sanctuary, complete with a serene plunge pool and spa, an effortless extension of Southern California‘s indoor-outdoor lifestyle.

The interiors, curated by the design studio Ash (known for the Hôtel Peter & Paul in New Orleans), are warm yet elemental with curated works by Creative Art Partners. Rift-cut oak cabinetry, wood floors, and stone surfaces ground the space, while Fleetwood high-performance glazing and a custom steel fireplace add a touch of modernity. A sculptural, open-riser staircase anchors the double-height entryway, setting the tone for the three-bed, four-bath residence.

Part of Olson Kundig’s only residential collection of its kind, Concrete House joins seven other architecturally distinct homes (Wood House, Glass House, Stone House, Bronze House, Garden House, Brick House, and Steel House), each celebrating a singular material and design language. Landscape architecture firm Coen + Partners completed the vision with outdoor environments that are lush, intentional, and rooted in native California flora.

Residents of the eight townhouses enjoy access to all the amenities of 8899 Beverly, including 24-hour concierge services, a fitness center, a resort-style pool, and the on-site Italian eatery Stella, headed by famed Canadian restaurateur Janet Zuccarini. It’s all part of what Olson Kundig has called a “Love Letter to Los Angeles”—an ode to bold design, refined living, and architectural storytelling on a quiet street in a vibrant, walkable neighborhood.
